Villa Vals by SeARCH and CMA
Villa Vals is an all-equipped underground vacation home that was designed by Bjarne Mastenbroek and Christian Müller, respectively of the architectural offices SeARCH and CMA.
Their design plan was to completely integrate the villa into the landscape to avoid disturbing the unspoiled nature. That is why access to the villa is only possible via the nearby wooden Graubünder shed, through an underground tunnel which runs straight through the mountainside. The facade of the house is slightly slanted, adding to the view of the mountain scenery across the valley opposite of the house. The house, which was completed in 2009, was built and furnished in cooperation with a large number of Dutch designers and companies that produce Dutch design.

I wasn’t really huge on landscape photography until I saw Grace’s work and I’ve honestly never seen someone who had such an eye for framing together the extraordinary in her environment in such a personal and intimate way. This is literally all from her iphone on her Instagram and I’m definitely having large prints of these in my future home. I just had to give her a shout out for these because I don’t think she realizes how naturally talented she is.

ART: Real Life Paintings by Jessie Edwards
NYC-based artist Jesse Edwards gives no fucks about rules when it comes to his art (and we love it). Creating beautiful Monet-esque quality paintings, Edwards uses mostly “real shit” as his medium for inspiration. The perfect blend of technically amazing art infused with comedic, relatable undertones.

In the first gif Taylor is saying to Kanye “so are we Ok? Let’s shake on it!” Then they shake hands. In the second gif Jay-Z is smiling and clapping like a proud father.
I’m so hype about this!
Pergamon Museum | Berlin
I spent a good deal of time studying this art in college. It was incredible to see in person. The Germans built a museum to house all of the fragments from the excavation and recreated the frieze as it originally appeared in the 2nd century BC.
